The double locking mechanism ensures that small children cannot open it, while adults can operate it with just one hand. When you have a lot to get done around the house, the gate has a Smart Stay-Open feature. Ideal for doing chores or entertaining guests while your child is napping, it allows you to position the gate open until you choose to release it. The Liberty Security Gate is pressure mounted, making secure installation simple. Attach the included Mounting Cups to the walls with double sided adhesive tape, Insert the extension pins into the gate and extension. Insert the Tension Knobs into the outer frame, turn to tighten the tension knobs until it is fitted evenly and securely into place. Can be used at the top of stairs using the included hardware mounts for added security. It fits areas 29.5 to 36.5″ inches wide and, with the purchase of additional extensions (sold separately), can accommodate spaces up to 54 inches.
